Thunder Reading/Robotics/Turkey in Disguise

As I was cleaning up pictures on my phone, I realized that I never posted the "Turkey in Disguise" winners!  Before Thanksgiving, we read Turkey Trouble  by Wendi Silvano.  After that, the kids were presented with a turkey paper.  They were given the task of "disguising" the turkey so that it wouldn't get eaten on Thanksgiving Day!  The kids came up with some clever disguises.  I gave all the papers to Ms. Brownie's 2nd grade class and they all voted on a 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place.  These kids received brag tags for a job well done!

Third place, was Mason.  He disguised his turkey as a pilgrim!

2nd place, was Silas!  He disguised his turkey as a dragon!  What a great and creative idea!

First place was Cailyn!  She disguised hers as a peacock!  Adorable!  She got candy & brag tags!

These 3 boys, Reid, Kyler, & Mason, received awards for robotics in Eagle Beat.  Congratulations, fellows!

Reid was our Thunder Reading winner for November!  Congrats, Reid!  The t-shirt is adorable!  Go, Thunder! Don't forget that you can write down the books your child reads for the Thunder minutes on our classroom reading log as well!
