Our Thunder Reading winner for January is........
Sarah Sharp! Woo Hoo! What a great Thunder shirt! Congrats, Sarah!
Here's our cause and effect craft that goes along with the story The Snowy Day. Sooooo cute! I wish we could've had some more snow days!
I have so many pictures of kids wanting their picture taken with their math center accomplishments! So, I'm going to have to start randomly placing them into other blog posts! Jett put this addition puzzle together! Good job, Jett!
This one was a team effort! The team members are: Caleb, Silas, Reid, Mason, and Lillianna.
Sarah and Cailyn are so proud! Good job, ladies!
I had a student teacher from Oklahoma Christian University that came and did an integrated arts lesson. Since we were studying adjectives, she decided to teach a lesson about monster adjectives. She read a really cute book that I want to get for myself! The first time she read it through without adjectives. The second time she read it with the adjectives. What a difference that made! Then she asked the kids to create their own monsters and add 3 adjectives about their monster on the paper. Then they had a sharing time. Here are the pictures from that lesson:
More math! This was a new puzzle for them to put together. Good job, Silas and Mason!
Cailyn and Kyler completed it as well!
Since we just had President's Day recently, I decided to pull out my Reader's Theater reading for the kids to read during our reading center time. Since it had 4 parts, I had to help out, which was a lot of fun! They get a kick out of my silly voices!
Wow! My arms look like legs in the wrong place in this picture! ha! ha! I played George Washington. Silas was Abraham Lincoln, Ava was Jamie the little mouse, and Kyler was Gramps the grandpa mouse.
We had a lot of kiddos out sick this week so in this reading group I had to play both presidents because the girls wanted the mouse parts. Aren't they adorable?!
And...... more math 100 chart puzzles. They love these! They had races to see who could put the puzzles together the fastest.
Technology time!
All the little puzzle kids!
Oh, Jett! He and Ava put together these puzzles!
