September 15 & 16





Short i week!
Henry and Anderson completed the short i "pig" puzzle!





Quinn was sorting rocks at recess into groups.

The kids below are playing Candy Land Sight Words during their center time.


This group is at my teacher table writing in their journals about something we read the previous day.



Henry is giving Corbin some "bunny ears"!  Ha! Ha!

Marshall and Corbin completed the pig puzzle!

Below, you can see the kids at my teacher table practicing their Theme 1 sight words by flipping eggs!  They loved this!  If they can read the egg, they get to keep it.  The one at the end with the most eggs is the winner, winner of the chicken-egg dinner!  Ha! Ha!

Giraffes and Flamingos!!!!


If you haven't heard me mention this before, I'll say it again, "I LOVE our new reading curriculum!"  This is our first year to use and and the shared reading has been really fun to incorporate all kinds of lessons and crafts!  The pictures below are from when we had a shared reading book about giraffes.  Of course, we HAD to make a cute craft and write about giraffes!

The kiddos below are reading books about flamingos on the Epic app. 



This center is sorting flamingo nouns and adjectives!  I actually made this center to go along with out shared reading book!


This was obviously on a Friday, because I try to save a really fun craft or other activity for our Fun Friday time together.  These kids are painting a flamingo at my teacher table.  They will also write flamingo facts that we will attach to the flamingo.


Brooks is so focused with his noise-blocking headphones on!  He's working on the short e puzzle.
