A December to Remember!

December was a month to remember for me & my family and I'm sure a lot of you as well!   It started out with Covid for me, Ms. Crabtree, and Mrs. Duncan!  Ugh!  We all thought it was just "allergies"!  Amazingly, my son and husband did not catch it! (Although I was confined to my bedroom!).  It took me longer to get over it than what I thought!  I am vaccinated and thankful because I can't imagine how bad it could've been! I hate missing school!  I apologize if I got others sick!  It was certainly NOT my intention!  We all had no clue!  Everyone was struggling with allergies!  Crazy times!

My temperature for 3 days never went below 100 even with Tylenol and Ibuprofen!  It got as high as 102.5  It was pretty miserable!  I'm sure you all have Covid stories as well!  I'll be so glad when all of this is behind us!

Here are the first graders practicing for the Christmas program.

Here are the first and second graders altogether practicing!  Below, you will see all of the kids on the day of the program in their Christmas best!

Below, you will see what we call "D.E.A.R." time.  (Drop Everything And Read).  We do this two or three times a week, right after P.E.  It gives the kids time to relax a little bit before we start math.

Below, we had a visit from Nurse Nicole.  She talked to the kids about different emotions.  Then the kids did a coloring activity and those that wanted to came up and shared what they did with the class.

Above is a cute new sign with my name on it that I received for Christmas!  I was blown away by the gift cards that you all gave me for Christmas this year!  How fun was the opening of the gift!  What a blessing you all are to me!  Thank you, Micah Domina,  for sharing this video with me so that I could share it with you!

Here is a display of our Christmas math crafts!

Below, you will see what we did at our Christmas party!  We had a book exchange.  I read a story and when the kids heard the words "Left" or "Right" they passed their book in that direction.  At the end of the story, they opened their book!  I wrote with a washable marker "L" on all the left hands and "R" on all the right hands!  Ha! Ha! Ha!

Now we do the "Christmas Party in a Bag" exchange!  I read the story of the birth of Christ and the kids passed left and right again.  Whatever bag they had at the end of the story was there's to open and eat!

Below you will see snippets of the kids singing Christmas Carols during Praise Chapel! Precious!

Below is a video of reactions after opening the party in a bag!

So, I left school immediately after our 1/2 day and headed to Integris hospital in Edmond to take my son some food!  His wife was being induced to have our sweet bundle of joy ~ August Dale Ruff!

And here he is below!  Oh my goodness!  I'm so in LOVE!  The grandparents were waiting in the waiting room and we got this picture!

Then we got this video from my son ~ he is a shoe fanatic!  Ha! Ha!  He loves Jordans!  The rest of the pictures are of my family Christmas this year, so you can skip the rest of you're not interested!

Welcome to the world baby Auggie!

My husband and baby Auggie!  We are known as "Lolli and Pop"!

Here's baby August with the little hat I made!

This is the first Christmas since my kids were younger, that we all have been together here in Oklahoma!  I had to get the grandkids stockings!  We usually all meet up in Tennessee, but since we have a new addition to our family, everyone flew out here!  What a blessing!

Here's baby August at Lolli and Pop's house for Christmas!

I love the reactions of my daughter Emily and son Caleb!

I made this little hat for baby Auggie, too!  Look at this little angel in his car seat!

My daughter was able to finish her degree in Psychology online!  She took some time off to raise her son, Grayson, and has continued to work hard to finish the degree.  We decided to surprise her with a "graduation". My son had his gown and hat from his OC graduation, so she wore that and we played the song and she marched into the living room!

Here she is giving her graduation speech!  We are so proud of her!  She has always wanted to be a counselor.  She has been accepted to the Master's Program and will be starting that in May!

Danielle's mom invited Santa Claus and our family to her home to get pictures made!  How fun!  What a blessing to have my entire family here for a photo!

Thanks for putting up with my family pictures!

Thank you, God for sending your son, Jesus, to this world as a baby to save all of us from our sins!  Thank you for my job that allows me to work with wonderful families and their children!  Thank you that I am able to share the love of your SON and talk about Him daily!  Thank you, for allowing me to spend time with my all my kids and grandkids this Christmas!  What a special gift!
