Since I'm playing "catch up" with these blog postings, I"m going to put all of November together. I hope you all are enjoying seeing your kiddos as much as I am enjoying seeing what all we have done this school year! Wow! We've come a long ways and the kids have learned SO much! I'm so proud of all of them and all the hard work they have done this school year!
These sweet boys above LOVE the puzzle fast-finisher option! They proudly finished this space puzzle! Good job, Jett & Alex!
Indoor Recess! Cute cube heads! Left to right: Beckett, Max, Olivia, Darci
Abigail and Kate playing together with Legos during indoor recess.
Della, Darci, & Hallie worked together to color this piece of our class mural for Veteran's Day! Good job, girls!
The first graders performed at Eagle Beat in November. Cuties!👏😊
Here are both first grade class murals. Each kid colored one square. They turned our amazing! Ours is on the left! I'm so thankful for our Veterans! Our country is so blessed!
Above is our class's mural! It looks awesome!
Here's our Veteran's Day craft display!
Can you guess whose boots these are? This girl cracks me up wearing these and running in these rocks! OLIVIA!!!! I love you!
I love getting out the old warmers and letting the kids do this craft! They use the crayon like a paint brush and when they color onto the paper on the warmer, it melts and makes beautiful brilliant colors! The kids LOVE this! I always have a couple of boys that like to see if they can put their finger on the warmer for a long period of time and try so without me catching them. Boys will be boys! The warmers don't get extremely hot and we do this at my teacher table. It's very therapeutic!
Here's a picture of my teacher table at the end of the day! Whew!
Here it is after I cleaned it up! I'm all packed up and ready to go home! It's probably 5 or 6 o'clock!
My son and daughter-in-law (OCA graduates) are having a baby boy in December! I couldn't be more excited to have a grandchild local! We are from Tennessee and are huge Tennessee fans. Look at the cute outfit Denise Lewis gave them! (She's also from Tennessee!). I'm so thankful and blessed!
Me, my son, Zachary, Danielle, and her mother Ronna at the baby shower!
My former student, Tulle, is reading a story to the kids!
Tulle is precious! You can see we have been working on sentence correcting in our journals this morning!
This is my oldest grandson, Grayson, who lives in Nashville! He just started to kindergarten at Donelson Christian Academy!
Here's what our turkeys looked like in the hallway downstairs! Adorbs!
I used to hang this little stop sign up near my teacher table when I was working with my small groups. This year, it hasn't worked as well because the kids seem to ignore it! Bless them! (And ME!). Ms. Crabtree and I decided to try this method! Ha! Ha! Ha! It works a LOT better! I do forget sometimes and wear it into the hallway or after we have finished centers and I get lots of strange looks and laughs from other teachers and students in 2nd grade! 😆😂. It helps with interruptions during my teaching time and it also trains them to be problem solvers and a little more independent when working at centers!
Reading time with this group of cuties: Alex, Lincoln, Scout, & Jaxson (Beckett is sitting beside Jaxson)
Lincoln reading in the microphone!

My cute little Every Belle dressed up as a Native American and proudly displaying her turkey craft that she made at preschool.
Grayson in Nashville is showing off his turkey in disguise (Batman turkey)!
Grayson and I were at my nephew's wedding in Alabama! My husband and son, Caleb were in the wedding.
My baby son, Caleb, who is in dental school, Danielle, my daughter-in-law, and her husband (my son) Zach! They had Thanksgiving here in Oklahoma because she couldn't travel and my son had classes. It was so kind of Ronna to invite Caleb to Thanksgiving at their house so he wouldn't be all alone!
Grayson turned 6 in November and we always have his birthday celebration when we come to town for Thanksgiving! Pictured is my son-in-law (Josh) and my daughter (Emily)!
11 hours in a car gave me time to make this little hat and booties for my soon-to-be grandson!
Jett, Emma, and Lorraine are practicing math facts on the Xtra Math app.
Austen, with his new haircut, and Lincoln, are working at the blue math center together!
Look at little Miss Lorraine working on fact families at my teacher table!
You've got this Lorraine!
Woo Hoo!!!!! Finished! So proud!
