We sure did do a lot of cool projects and eat a lot of fun apple stuff this week! Here are some pics from our week!
This was our apple tasting and graphing time.
The students completed a graph from tally marks inside the classroom and answered questions about the graph. Then they colored their favorite apple and we made a graph in the hall. It turned out pretty cute! The green tart apples were the favorite.
Here they are using the data from the board to answer questions about the least favorite and the most favorite color of apple.
Here is Mrs. Dunagan explaining what a STEM project is. (science, technology, engineering, math)
The kids had to make a list of materials they could use and then draw a picture of how they could make a basket with the given materials. The materials were: 1 roll of tape, 2 pieces of paper, and scissors. The basket should be able to hold two apples.

Oops! This one needed some more work. They went back to the other room for more planning and modifying.
This one worked the first time!!!
Way to go, girls!!!
They all were finally able to construct a basket that could hold 2 apples! Here they are with their partners!
These two are still making adjustments.
Finally got it to work!
Very clever handles!
Nice large basket!
3 sturdy handles on this basket!
We did it!
The kids all loved it! It was a lot of fun! It was also challenging to work with a partner from another class.
